Cota Painting was founded by Sergio Cota, who came to this country from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in 1985. Here is how Sergio describes the journey:

“When I first saw what a beautiful place California is, I wanted to make it all happen here—to start a new life. I wished to learn English; become a citizen; buy a home; and open my own business. It took me a while and I worked very long, hard hours, but I never gave up. I also never stopped believing that this was the land of opportunity. Today, I am a proud U.S. citizen, have a fulfilling career, and have run a thriving business for over 35 years. I thank God for all these things.”
